Daddy Scrubs Clothing Gear for Expecting Fathers

Robert Nickell (aka Daddy Nickell), DaddyScrubs founder and father of six created this occasion-based clothing line and various gear for men. These products obviously aim to make daddy feel special on delivery day, but also offer an exclusive, ongoing “member”-like experience where dads can enjoy and revive their memorable experiences and even share it with others.

The classic scrubs come in (edgy) or (simple) font and style in  navy, green, and khaki colors. These strong, durable clothes create a great way to get men more involved in the experience while maybe even entertaining the hospital staff while making the dad easily identifiable.

I tried out the navy colored medical scrubs, which include the V-neck top with left side pocket and drawstring pants. Very comfortable with not much ironing needed. Stains go out easily (tumble dry low only) and the moisture control feature keeps dads cool and dry, so no one ever see them sweat in the delivery room or anywhere else.

These cotton (35%) and polyester (65%) threads were little tight in the shoulders for me in the XL size, so needed my wife to help my pull them over my head to get them off. Be sure to check the helpful size chart on the merchandise website before ordering.

As with many medical scrub apparel, continual wear is a great advantage here as well. Even after wearing them to sleep, it was approximately two and a half days until I really felt they needed washed. The font print size is fairly subtle yet large enough so wearers would not be mistaken for actual medical staff.

At a suggested retail price of $44.95, finding occasions and excuses when to wear these scrubs outside of medical facilities can be a challenge (e.g. playtime with the kids, Halloween costume parties, etc.). Scrubs have no collars or cuffs where extra dirt can hide, but the high comfort factor is the main benefit. At night or day…in bedtime or daytime…dads will likely find many opportunities (and excuses) to wear these special scrubs.
