Through the Star Wars movies and Clone Wars cartoons, we got to know the main and side characters through their major exploits across the galaxy. But what about “what the daily life is like in a galaxy far, far away”? Well, now producers George Lucas and Seth Green are going to let us see that, in the form of a new cartoon series called ‘Star Wars Detours’.

Here is what their YouTube description for the trailer had to say:

Star Wars Detours™ is an animated comedy that explores what daily life is like in a galaxy far, far away. There are no Empires striking back or attacking clones here. Instead, Star Wars Detours focuses on the universe’s regular folks and their everyday problems… which, to be fair, do frequently involve famous bounty hunters, crazed Ewoks, and even a Dark Lord of the Sith.

Some people are very angry, calling Lucas a sell out. I’m excited. I think this will be stupidly entertaining. My 12 year old son thought it was hilarious. We cant wait to see it. I havent been able to fin when and where the show will air. Does anybody have that info?

    • Oh puh-lease! Lucas ‘sold out’ when he started licensing like a madman and got billions of toys on shelves and then wrapped Return of the Jedi ideas around some of that marketing strategy …

And I am with you … in terms of beign excited and not yet knowign where and when to find it.

Can’t wait. No matter what Lucas does I’ll still be a fan (of the content not George himself). I’m a big fan of Clone Wars series, and excited to see “real world problems” of Star Wars crew.
