Monitor2Go and iPad 3, a Gear Diary Video Look

A year and a half ago, I had the opportunity to review an incredibly useful mobile device that quickly and easily doubles your screen real-estate. The FieldMonitorPro is a large screen that, right out of the box, extends your computer to give you additional screen space or allows someone/s to look at your computer screen without having to crowd in next to you. It is terrific for on-the-go demonstrations.

While reviewing the device, I was covering an Apple keynote and found my MacBook air to be too small for watching the video, checking feeds, and writing the post. I pulled out the FieldMonitorPro, plugged it into my MacBook air and more than doubled my viewable space. That experience alone was enough to make me a huge believer in MMT’s products.

  1. This would be pretty good for photo editing purposes on my ultrabook. The resolution isn’t particularly high, but it’s plenty roomy for palettes, secondary windows, and such.

  2. This would be nice for presentations of our software from my iPad for a group. Plus you could drop it off when you visit CES in Las Vegas 🙂

This would be nice to use for movie watching from my netbook.

  4. I’d give it to my best friend Han because I don’t have an iPad and would have no use for it. Plus his birthday is coming up at the end of January and this would save me a lot of trouble on trying to find him a gift! Thanks for another great giveaway!

  5. I’d use it with my laptop for more desktop space and second viewing screen for movies and shows.
