Ford’s Press Conference During the North American International Auto Show

As part of #FordNAIAS, we are at the Joe Lewis Arena in Detroit for the Ford Press Conference. The North American International Auto Show started yesterday in the Cobo Center. (We’ll be spending time there later today.) We’ll be sharing images from the Press Conference below and adding details throughout the day.

Bill Ford began the Press Conference addressing the fact that Ford had a great year and, as we approach the 150th year of Henry Ford’s birthday they expect an even better year in 2013. “In 2012 we saw growth in nearly every aspect of our business.” And this year we are adding more salaried employees in the US than we have in 20 years.

Commercial vehicle time. 29% of Ford’s global sales. 47% of commercial trucks in the US are Fords. ONE Ford plan extending to these commercial vehicles this year.

Having a father who was heavily involved in early laser and fiber-optical research, Dan grew up surrounded by technology and gadgets.
