Sonos PLAYBAR Soundbar

As expected, Sonos has just introduced their new Playbar Soundbar and, yes, as a huge Sonos fan I ordered one. You might recall that I first ordered my Sonos system a mere hours after receiving a loaner review sample. I hooked up the Sonos system, downloaded the iOS app, turned it on and was blown away. I loved the sound. I loved the convenience. I loved the ability to control each speaker and stream pretty much any music I wanted to it. I was bit by the Sonos bug and ordered two Plat:5s. Since then my ‘collection” of Sonos components has grown. The latest item, the Sonos PLAYBAR Soundbar, arrives at the beginning of March.

The Sonos PLAYBAR Soundbar has nine Class-D digital amplifiers driving nine speakers, six midrange and three tweeters, for full room of sound. And if that isn’t enough you can pair the Sonos PLAYBAR Soundbar with a Sonos SUB and a Sonos PLAY:3 speakers for even bigger sound. The Sonos PLAYBAR Soundbar will make a great addition to any home theater setup. Better still, setting up the setup is as simple as connecting the included power and optical cords to the Sonos PLAYBAR Soundbar and connecting it to your Sonos system. The Sonos PLAYBAR Soundbar will then sync with other Sonos speakers on the system. and while it will make television, movies and gaming an even better experience the Sonos PLAYBAR Soundbar can also act as a nine-speaker standalone music system that streams any music you want. The system is $699 and will begin shipping in early March. You can learn more and order yours here.
