Spigen SGP Home Buttons for Samsung Galaxy Note 2

Some smartphone accessories have a clear purpose and reason for existing. The purpose of other accessories is… less obvious. Case in point- the Spigen SGP Home Buttons for Samsung Galaxy Note 2. The Note 2 has a Home button and it works just fine on its own. Why then would one spend $10 to buy three different metal buttons to place over the stock Home button? Well, if you have a Verizon branded Samsung GALAXY Note 2 there is ugly and stupid Verizon branding right on the button. The Spigen SGP Home Buttons for Samsung Galaxy Note 2 cover the logo and give the device a cleaner look. Moreover, on any Note 2 the Spigen SGP Home Buttons for Samsung Galaxy Note 2 add a splash of color and class. They also add extra tactile feel so you can find the Home button more easily by feel while keeping your eyes on whatever you are doing. Let’s take a look.

I like using SGP’s iOS Home buttons covers on my iPhone and iPad and am surprisingly taken with these small aluminum buttons.

Getting the Spigen SGP Home Buttons for Samsung Galaxy Note 2 on the device is actually rather simple. As SGP explains on their site you simply pick up one of the three Home buttons with some clear tape (adhesive side of the bottom down), line up the button with the Note’s actual button and, when they are perfectly lined up, press the new Home button into place. Personally I like the way they look and appreciate the extra bit of tactile feel they provide. Do you need the Spigen SGP Home Buttons for Samsung Galaxy Note 2? Nope. But I like them!
