Lenovo’s Yoga 11S Ultrabook convertible laptop captured a good bit of attention at CES 2013. Now it is available directly from Lenovo or for pre-order at Best Buy. If you are not familiar with the Yoga 11S Ultrabook convertible it is a thin, 11.6” ultrabook that will ship with a Core i3, i5 or i7 third generation Intel processor. What makes the Yoga 11S special is its ability to quickly and easily convert into four different modes. That means the device can serve various needs as they arise. It, “offers a new way to experience mobile computing, letting people define which mode works best for them in their environments, from the park and the coffee shop to in transit, at home or at the office”.
The Yoga 11S is four Windows 8 computers in one and it switches from one to another in mere seconds.
There is Tent Mode. It allows you to watch movies hands and neck-strain free. The Dolby Home Theatre audio will help enhance the experience!
Stand mode is ideal for “things like swiping through family photos using the high definition IPS screen’s 10-finger multitouch support”. The computer even offers hand gestures so simply waving your hands in front of the webcam will advance photos, videos and more.
Of course there is Tablet Mode. Windows 8 was designed for touch and this mode lets the computer become a full-powered Windows 8 tablet.
