Surely one of the best known images representing the simple pleasures of childhood must be dipping cookies in milk.  My sister and her friends were avid practitioners of the art, but I never took a shining to the practice myself. The whole dipping one’s cookie and often fingers into milk just seemed messy and uncivilized, just too reminiscent of early teething toddlers sticking formerly useful household objects into their gooey, slavering maws. The horror! Thankfully, the march of civilization continues, and with that march has emerged the DiprStart Dipping Your Cookies in Milk the Civilized Way with the Dipr, the first utensil specifically designed to allow for tidy dipping, eating and enjoying sandwich-type cookies in milk.

Simply insert the sandwich cookie, perhaps an Oreo, into the curved notch, press gently and dunk away! Look Ma, no sticky fingers! Emily Post would be proud, though I’m not sure if she’d think the dipr should be placed to the right or left of the spoon in a proper place setting. That aside, the dipr can help reduce the incidence of cookie breakup and the inevitably messy attempts to retrieve cookie components lurking at the bottom of the glass, plus kids can proudly and deftly show off their new tableware manners.

As an aside, I don’t know about you, but the ergonomics bear an unsettling resemblance to the stainless steel tool dentists might use on those who might overindulge in eating cookies in milk without subsequent adequate brushing.

Currently available in either red, blue, green, yellow, purple, the DiprStart Dipping Your Cookies in Milk the Civilized Way with the Dipr can be found on Amazon for only $4.99. If you decide to grab one, let us know in the comments what you think!
