The other day, Dan brought word about my reviews of the Samsung GALAXY S4 and the Barnes & Noble NOOK Simple Touch with Glow Light. If you are a regular Gear Diary reader, then you know that Dan has covered — and continues to cover — numerous portable Bluetooth speakers, as well as larger wireless system such as those from Sonos and Libratone. Reviewing the TX-NR609, a component AV receiver, was a bit of a departure for Dan, but as he says in the review, “even in today’s world of small Bluetooth speakers there is a good argument to be made for larger component systems.”

Fortunately, “the TX-NR609 is able to do just that and, once connected to your local WiFi network, you will be able to stream audio and internet radio.”
