The JBL Synchros S400BT are one of the upcoming JBL by Harman offerings Judie and I checked out during CES 2014. The newest in the JBL Synchros lineup, the Synchros S400BT headphones pack Bluetooth 3.0 with advanced aptX digital encoding technology in order to “stream the richest wireless audio experience available”. That’s just the beginning.51 Gear Diary CES 2014 Harman International Jan 7 2014 10 04 PM 07

The left earcup of the headphones features a touch-sensor interface for adjusting volume, switching tracks, or taking calls. The entire earcup surface serves as the touch sensitive control system so all it takes is a simple swipe to make things happen. And how’s this for a nice extra? There is an LED light trail that tracks finger movement across the touch sensor. It is a small bit of electronic bling that will add visual interest while you enjoy your music.

Available in the white we photographed or black, the headphones work as either wired or wireless cans and promise to offer great JBL sound.
