The case may look like any other leather smartphone pouch, but it has a few things that make it stand out. The pouch has a magnetic closure that securely holds your iPhone in place. The genuine leather used in its construction looks and feels great. A micro fiber lining gently cleans your phone each time you put it into, or take it from, the pouch. All of that is nice, but it doesn’t make the glide stand out. What DOES help the Ventev glide for iPhone 5S stand out (and explains the product’s name) is the innovative lifting mechanism that aids in removing the phone when you need to use it. Releasing the magnetic closure allows the hidden mechanism to push the phone up and out of the pouch so it is easy to grab. The lifting system doesn’t push the phone completely out of the pouch but does push it up enough that it becomes easy to grab. It is a smart, simple and highly effective ejection method that makes this pouch stand out.

The Ventev glide looks and feels quite refined. Considering the price is under $40, that’s an accomplishment in and of itself. The Magnetic closure makes it east to feel comfortable your iPhone is securely inside and won’t come out until you actually WANT it to come out. And the lifting mechanism that partially ejects the phone from the pouch is one of those simple but smart innovations that just make sense. The fact that all of this comes together in an inexpensive and ultra-slim design is indeed impressive. I’m not a fan of pouch-style cases, but if I were this is the one I would use.
