Dart Laptop Adaptor Gets Kickstarted

Dart Laptop Adaptor

You take your laptop on the go and even though battery life has improved the need for carrying a charger is still a constant if you plan to be out for more than a few hours. Thankfully a new Kickstarter project that will have you covered. The Dart Laptop Adaptor is being advertised as, “the world’s smallest laptop charger.”

The Dart is four times smaller and six times lighter than most other laptop adapters. It is a full-powered 65W AC adapter that also features a built-in 2.1 amp USB port so you can also charge phones and tablets while you juice up your laptop. Dart combines “fundamental circuit concepts with new power conversion architectures to cycle power up to 1,000 times faster than today’s systems”. I’m not quite sure how it does its magic, but it looks pretty compelling.

The Dart Laptop Adaptor  is currently on Kickstarter for $79. That’s a $40 discount off the expected retail price. It has already almost doubled its goal of $200,000, and it’s expected to ship in November 2014. You can become a backer by clicking here.
