Henge Docks Readying Vertical Docking Station for MacBook Pro Retina

My “desktop computer” is actually a 15″ MacBook Pro with Retina Display that is connected to a 27″ iMac. Each time I dock the laptop I need to individually plug in a series of cables; it is a pain. Thankfully, Henge Docks is getting ready to ship a docking station specifically designed for the MacBook Pro with Retina Display. The dock, which will be available for both the 13″ and the 15″ MacBook Pro, will come in plastic for $89 or metal for $119.

Henge Docks

Designed to hold the laptop vertically, the accessory not only saves space but it lets you connect all your peripherals at one time. You simply place the laptop into the dock and press down in order to connect the power cable, Lightning cables, USB 3.0 and 3.5mm audio cable. Best of all, there minimal setup required since the Mini DisplayPort, USB 3.0 and TRRS audio extension cables are pre-installed. Previous docks from Henge Docks required you to bring your own cables and painstakingly set them into the dock.
