I’m constantly on the hunt for new ways to grab better video and audio with my iPad mini. And while there have been a number of different external microphones that have come to market I have yet to find one that I wanted to use consistently. That may change with the release of the Blue Microphone Mikey Digital with Lightning.The new offering from Blue Microphones, a company whose products I use pretty much on a daily basis, takes the microphone to new heights by swapping the 30-PIN connector that was on previous models for a Lightning Connector. That means the microphone will now work with the current generation of iOS devices without the need for an adapter. I suspect it will quickly become an accessory I will want to keep in my gadget bag so it is always available.
