This small alarm clock features Bluetooth audio, an FM radio, USB charger, iLuv’s jAura audio, and a vibrating alarm that will make sure you don’t miss class without waking up your roommates; best of all, this clock radio is under $50.This clock radio offers a few key features that make it quite useful. Add in the fact that it has a small footprint, and you have an inexpensive accessory that is a good option for just about anyone.

The company describes the product this way:

TimeShaker Micro is the perfect companion to start your day with. This compact alarm clock allows you to choose from multiple alarm options, including a unique shaker that fits under your pillow and vibrates to wake you up without disturbing anyone else in the room. Powerful stereo speakers allow you to enjoy your favorite radio stations or stream music from your phone via Bluetooth® in full, rich sound. Additional convenient features such as a dual alarm option, a positive LCD display and a USB charging port make this the only wake up call you’ll ever need.

I like speakers that offer a number of different ways to enjoy your music. This is an excellent example. The FM radio is great for those who listen to terrestrial audio. A thin FM antenna trails off the back of the clock radio to help make sure you get decent enough reception.

For those who want to go a bit more modern, it also has built-in Bluetooth so you can stream audio from your phone or tablet. Pairing it to any audio source with integrated Bluetooth takes just a few seconds, and from there you can enjoy your music without having to physically connect the devices.

If you prefer a physical connection between your audio source and your radio, you can also use the 3.5 mm auxiliary-in port on the back. This is ideal if you are looking to connect an iPod that is not Bluetooth enabled, or you simply don’t want the extra battery drain that comes with using wireless connectivity.

Regardless of how you connect your audio source to the clock radio, you’ll find that it offers decent sound considering its price and size.

In addition, in order to ensure that this is a clock radio for 2014, there is a USB port on the back that allows you to charge smartphones and tablets. I love when accessories have additional charging ports so that you can avoid having to put multiple adapters into wall sockets.

The controls on top are simple and easy to use. A better tactile feel would probably make it easier to use at night but, thankfully, the simple controls will likely become familiar to you rather quickly.

I don’t know that this is an accessory that would find its way to the top of my wish list were a review sample not first sent to me. Having used it for a while, however, I have to say I’m rather impressed. If you need a clock radio it’ll get the job done. The FM radio works fine and it does a good job at letting you know what time it is and making sure you wake up at the appropriate hour. Add in the auxiliary import and the Bluetooth connectivity and you have a small clock radio that lets you get to your music in multiple ways. If this were the end of the products features it would still be worthwhile considering it’s under $50 price tag. Add in the silent vibrating alert, however, and you have something that is not only functional it is also respectful of the people around you. It’s a great option for dorm room and is worth consideration for use at home as well. You can learn more here. You can order yours [Affiliate Link] here in our Amazon affiliate store.
