I described the IOGEAR MediaShair Hub as the “Mobile Swiss Army Knife” when I reviewed it a few weeks ago. This little unit can…

Stream movies, music, photos and documents to 7 devices.
Take a wired internet connection and create a Wi-Fi network to which you can connect your devices.

Access your flash drive and effectively becomes an external hard drive connection
Double as a Wi-Fi repeater and extend the connection to existing Wi-Fi networks
Functions as a portable battery for charging USB devices

And while it offers up to 9 hours of streaming media it also comes with a cigarette lighter charger so you can use it AND charge it on the road.

The portable streamer function really appeals to me. My wife loves her little Sandisk Connect stick.

Streaming media to devices is the most useful function for me, since I have things that can do most of the other functions, though it’s convenient to have everything in one device.

The WiFI Extension would be nice for Home and even Travel.
Streaming would also be nice.

The most useful function for me is the travel router function. Too many times I have lousy WiFi coverage in the hotel room and being able to plug into the wired connection and get a good WIFi signal would great. And when I get charged for internet access, I could use the MediaShair Hub as a WiFi Hotspot and get access for all of my device for the price of one.

I’d imagine the streaming media feature would be of most value to me. A central repository for video, photos, and music in an easily portable device would be fabulous.

I would use it to Stream Mickey mouse club house and use it as repeater.I use a VOIP phone.

I love the idea of streaming movies on up to 7 devices!

I also love the wifi repeater feature, along with the extra usb charging connections. This sounds like a super device!!!
