I was totally unimpressed with the new Apple Watch when Tim Cook went into details on it the other day. The new 12″ MacBook, however, is exactly what I’ve been hoping for in my next laptop. So yes, I will be ordering one next month, and the new Waterfield Zip Brief looks like the perfect way to carry and protect it.

The new bag has all the design features that will immediately make it clear that this is something new from Waterfield. It is large enough for the new MacBook, a charger, a superdrive (but who uses one of those these days?!), a phone and a few odd accessories. That makes sense, since the idea behind carrying the lightest MacBook ever is to actually travel light!

As Waterfield explains:

Zip it up and dash to work, the cafe or your next meeting. Unzip it, lay it flat and it’s TSA-friendly. The Zip’s luxurious interior cradles the new 12″ MacBook with a dedicated pocket; two more plush pockets protect a superdrive and charger or other small accessories. A convenient front pocket lets you nab quick-access items easily. Complete with handles and suspension shoulder strap, the ultra-thin Zip briefcase is your go-to bag for quick getaways.

I especially love the fact that it is TSA-friendly. I’m doing more travel than ever, so that is a huge plus in my book. At $179 this isn’t the least expensive bag you can find, but it promises to be one of, if not the, best. I know I’ll be getting one! Learn more and order yours here.

That’s a GREAT looking bag, might have to get it myself. the fact it’s not the traditional brown or black really sets it off.
