Back at Mobile World Congress, ARCHOS unveiled it’s affordable smartphone, the 50 Oxygen Plus.

From first glance looks of the phone, you’d think Apple designed it due to it’s rounded corners and curved edges. But in all actuality, the Archos 50 Oxygen Plus is indeed an Android device.

Straight out of the box, the 5-inch 1280x720p display, 1.4GHZ oct-core processor, 1GB of internal RAM and 16GB of storage with a microSD option (on top of two sim card slots) that can be upgraded to 128 gigabytes. All of this on top of just weighing just 125 grams, and only 0.29-inches thick, this smartphone is not to be taken “lightly” so to speak.

In addition to those specs, the camera alone will have an 8MP camera with flash on the back and a 5MP on the front as well as a 2000mAh battery. Coming in two versions: 3G and 4G, the former being released later this month, with the latter coming with Android Lollipop pre-installed in June of 2015.

When the mid-range smartphone hits the market later this month, it will only set you back $199. The 4G version will have a bit of an increase at $230. But the great thing about this device is that the price is firm, due to the fact that the phone is unlocked.
