Stress is a big part of everyone’s life, whether you’ll admit to it or not. Emvio wants to help you keep track of your stress and help you control your stress. Emvio is a watch that measures your heart rate variability, blood pressure, pulse, and rate of physical activity. You can make a pledge today at their Kickstarter campaign.

Emvio Cover

With the Apple Watch coming out soon, wearables are all the rage these days. Speaking of rage, Emvio can help you with that. With its built-in heart rate monitor, Emvio tracks your heart rate variability using a proprietary algorithm. Apparently, when you’re calm, your heart rate tends to vary up and down, but when you’re upset, along with rising, your heart rate gets more steady like a metronome. When Emvio detects that your heart rate has been elevated for a period of time, it will alert you so that you can take the necessary steps to reduce your stress.

Emvio Summary info

Emvio will be continually connected to your smart phone via low-energy Bluetooth and an app will maintain and analyze your stress levels over time so you can learn what sorts of events trigger your stress so that you can avoid or manage them. It will be compatible with iPhone first, and then for Android if higher pledge levels are reached.  Emvio will also be able to track your physical activity including calories burned and steps taken.

Emvio will be available in both glossy plastic and chrome steel. The LED display is scratch resistant and discreet and is navigated by buttons on the left and right of the screen. The watch has a vibration motor that will physically alert you when your stress levels change and an indicator will glow green, yellow, or red.
