There’s no shortage of innovative smartphones these days, but there is a shortage of one particular feature that not many devices get correct, and that’s screen retail. But as of today it seems that Nubia, a high-end Android smart phone manufacturer, has officially solved that problem for folks looking to get more screen and less bezel.

Today, Nubia unveiled their flagship 2015 device in the US, the Nubia Z9, which they call a leap forward in styling in ease for Android smartphones. The borderless phone is the first of it’s kind in the US, but with features like grip and gesture based controls, these are things that I would have to jailbreak my iPhone in order to have. Can you tell I’m excited!?

It’s borderless 5.2-inch Full HD display with aRC technology only helps out it’s easier to control Android smartphone gestures. Being able to swipe the side of your phone to turn the volume up and down, as well as fast forwarding or rewinding a movie that you might be playing from Netflix or Hulu is something that has been overlooked for far too long in the smartphone realm. It’s ergonomic design makes for easy holding, so you do not have to worry about randomly snapping photos of your feet or in your pocket as a result of the borderless sides.

Nubia’s own FiT technology, or Frame interactive Technology, allows used to control their phones by using grip and gesture based controls, such as simply touching the edge of the screen. So you can easily launch the camera by turning your phone sideways and placing four fingertips on the edge of the screen. And if you’re a fan of selfies, you can take one by squeezing the handset without touching any buttons. Because who needs a selfie stick? With FiT’s technology, the Nubia Z9 reduces the average smartphone process to 2.7 steps, as well as makes it easier to hold the phone, and makes you less likely to drop it.

Also featuring a 16 megapixel camera with Image Stabilization, as well as optional fingerprint sensor technology, the Nubia Z9 will be available in the 3rd quarter of 2015 in three various models priced from $564 to $725. Add on top of that a Snapdragon 810 chipset, 2900mAh rechargeable battery, and a 5.2-inch display with Full HD up to 1920 x 1080 resolution, this Android phone will run Android 5.0 Lollipop straight out of the gate.

Available in black and gold in the third quarter of 2015 from select retailers and online at www.nubia.cn. There will be three different models available however: Classic, Elite, and Exclusive. The Classic being 3gb Ram with 32gb storage for $564; Elite with 4gb RAM and 64Gb storage for $645 and Exclusive, which is the same as Elite, with the addition of fingerprint sensor technology for $725.
