If you apply for Project Fi as I did (back in April) you can check the status of your invitation on their site here. Unfortunately in my case, it looks as if I won’t be receiving an invitation any time soon as my status shows “Expect your invite in 12 or more weeks”.
Project Fi is Google’s latest mobile phone experiment. Instead of building a network of cellular towers Google is reselling existing T-Mobile and Sprint service bundled as Project Fi. Presently this is invitation only and the Fi site promises you’ll hear from Google within 30 days. What it doesn’t promise is that you’ll get service within 30 days.

For regular companies a wait time of 12 weeks may be normal (see Apple iPhone). However with Google it’s never certain that their entire offering will survive for 12 weeks before they lose interest and discontinue the service.
