Keep Your Phone & Cards Together with Bellroy’s Wallet Case

The one thing that a lot of companies who attempt to make wallet cases for smartphones do is that they attempt to cram your entire wallet onto the back of your phone. Luckily, Bellroy is a company that prides themselves on simplicity, and with their 3-Card iPhone Case, I feel like they got everything right!

Our phones are essential to our daily routine, and even with programs like Apple Way and Samsung Pay, it’s still nice to have your own cards on your person in the event you cannot tap your phone like you would a key fob to get things done. Bellroy understands this.

The case itself I was a bit nervous about since the bottom of the case is open, which even though it makes it easy to dock, it leaves virtually no protection for drops. I found this out the hard way when I had my phone on my lap while driving and had to get out of my car with my phone on my lap. Well, you know the rest of that story. Needless to say, since the bottom of the case was exposed I now have a slight ding around where my headphone jack is.

Other than the fact that the Bellroy case is exposed at the bottom, there is nothing but positive things to say about it. I am able to put my Metro card, as well as my ID & debit card on my phone case, and unlike most “wallet” cases on the market, it’s pretty discreet. Instead of having all three cards look as if they are stacked on top of each other, Bellroy was smart enough to know that the average user didn’t want to be that person who’s on their phone with a friend, with their cards fully exposed to not only the elements, but to people just looking for a reason to swipe it.

The Bellroy case comes in handy, especially after a few uses when the slots adjust to you inserting and removing the cards. Admittedly so, the first try of removing the card didn’t go great for me, but once you get the hang of it it’s smooth as butter. And as an added bonus, Bellroy has made it a standard to include a spare sim card slot on the inside of the case if you’re into that type of thing.

After using for a few weeks, the beautiful leather of the Bellroy 3-Card Case shows more personality than wear, which is something you don’t get from most cases on the market these days.

Overall, the Bellroy 3-Card Case is one that I’ve enjoyed so much, it’s become THE case I use on my phone when going out with friends, or just a casual night out on the town. For $65 it’s certainly not the cheapest case on the market, but what you pay in dollars, you get in quality. And trust me, it will hold up over time.
