Have the Storage You NEED on the Go with the Leef iAccess!

Earlier this year, you might have taken a look at Michael’s review of the iBRIDGE product by Leef. A great product, Leef decided to follow it up with their latest innovation to please users that might have wanted a bit more from their external storage.

The iAccess iOS microSD reader Port by Leef is a mobile memory thumb drive that’s there for you when you get that alert that your phone’s internal memory is getting low. The entire premise of the Leef iAccess over the iBridge is to give users the option of using a microSD card to store their items over having to buy multiple IBRIDGEs in order to store items. This is perfect in a lot of ways, obviously with a few changes that owners of the matte rubber and black version Michael reviewed in the earlier part of 2015.

The iAccess is all white, only sporting a Lightning port, doing away with the USB connector that it’s big brother has. So while you cannot transfer or access your files directly by plugging the iAccess into your computer, you can easily use the microSD card to get things done, especially since most SD cards these days include a card reader for transferring your documents and photos.

Perfect for those of you who carry around a point and shoot camera and would like to edit them on your phone or tablet, the Leef iAccess works in unison with the same Leef Mobile Memory app that the iBRIDGE does.

The overall look of the iAccess isn’t as impressive as the iBRIDGE which was a big disappointment in all honesty, and I wish they did keep the USB connector in this version, but I can understand doing away with it. With the iBRIDGE models being a bit pricey, especially the 16GB version of that coming at $59.99, I can see paying for the iAccess and simply buying my own SanDisk SD card for $20 and using that. Especially now that you can buy 200+gb SD cards as a fraction of the $400 you would be paying Leef for their version.

iAccess has all of the file format compatibilities that you’d expect, including .mp4, .m4v, .mpv, .mov, .wmv, .3gp, .gif, as well as all of the audio versions including .mp3.

Essentially, this is a slight upgrade from the iBRIDGE, with the only sacrifice being that you are not able to plug it directly into your computer for file transfer. But what you save in money for SD storage, it’s easily a comparable option for those who like to take action shots on the go, or have a lot of documents, files, and photos on different SD cards and want to be able to view and edit them while on the go.

What I Like: External microSD card option is genius.
What Needs Improvement: Needs a USB Connector.
