The Just Mobile AluPlug Is Fancier Than Most USB Wall Chargers

In the grand scheme of things, USB wall chargers probably don’t rate too highly on your list of “things that should be pretty”, but it’s nice when one comes along that not only looks good, it also does a fab job of quickly charging your USB powered gear; that’s the Just Mobile AluPlug.

1-Gear Diary Reviews the Just Mobile AluPlug Dual USB Charger.55

The exterior of the AluPlug is clad in “high-grade aluminum with exquisite knurled finishing”; the plug measures 2.32″ wide x 1.69″ deep, and it weighs 2.29 ounces.

There are two USB ports on the front, and an LED that will glow green when devices are connected.

Features:

  • AC wall charger for all USB-chargeable devices
  • Two USB ports
  • LED power indicator
  • Charging at up to 2.4A
  • Premium aluminium finishing
  • Plugs into any 100-240V wall socket
  • Foldable pins for easy storage

In addition to its small size, the folding pins make the AluPlug great for travel.

But the best thing about the charger is that it can reach up to 2.4A, so it is powerful enough to quickly charge both your mobile phone and your tablet. The AluPlug also has smart current allocation which auto-detects and intelligently allocates “required maximum current to charge each device”. This provides overload protection while giving you the fastest charge possible.

Sure you could buy a more utilitarian travel charger, but for a similar price as most others, the Just Mobile AluPlug gives you a little something extra — good looks.

The Just Mobile AluPlug USB Charger retails for $29.95, and it is available directly from the manufacturer.
