I’m a huge fan of Incase products, so when they sent over their Incase City Compact, I was very excited, especially with the big convention, CES coming up right around the corner. Designed to be light and compact, the City Compact by Incase is actually all of that and more.
Made of weave polyester and durable nylon, this bag is ideal for anyone who decides they don’t want to suffer while carrying all of their gear and gadgets in a traditional backpack you’d see while out and about.
I received the grey colorway of the Incase bag, and will admit that the well-padded backpack has a great feel on my shoulders with or without a jacket on. Most bags I’ve used were either way too bulky and made my daily commute look as if I was going to class instead of going to work, but the City Compact actually gives off a more mature look. At 18.5″ x 11.75″ x 4.3″, it will easily fit up to a 15′ MacBook Pro which is excellent.
They’ve even included a padded iPad pouch at the top of the bag which easily fits my iPad Mini Retina. I will say, if you have an iPad Pro, this compartment won’t do much for you as it’s a tad bit larger than the compartment will be able to fit after testing. On the other hand, iPad Air models will be able to fit you fine. I actually found a way to fit my iPad Mini on top of a notepad in the compartment just fine though since I tend to randomly need my notepad quickly, and it’s easily accessible.
There’s a small pocket on the front of the City Compact that can easily fit your cables, pens, headphones, or anything you need even quicker access too. I have a habit of throwing everything, including my phone into this pocket, and can say that the cloth material will make sure your devices don’t get damaged at all. Since I’ve been using this bag for a month, it’s easily replaced my messenger bag and the ability to slide my MacBook Air 11 in it with ease makes it a great bag for that “quick on the go” moment where you need a bag that won’t be too bulky.
With plenty of compartments for virtually anything you can imagine, Incase made sure to not only make it durable, but it’s actually pretty fashionable according to the compliments that I get. Did I mention the fact the bag easily fits in the overhead or under your seat on flights? Because it does!
Overall, I recommend that you check out the Incase City Compact backpack, which is only $99 today. You can find more information here!
