If you are setting up your kitchen or bar for the first time, then you know that there are quite a few tools that will need to go into your drawer including a citrus press, a corkscrew, a bottle opener, and a jigger. The Barbarian has all of that built into one very clever, well-built bar tool and more!
Made of metal and containing no less than nine bar tools, the Barbarian may well be the only (or last) bar tool that you’ll ever need to buy.
Let’s take a look!
So to start, as its main design implies, the Barbarian is a citrus press. It can easily handle the largest lemons and limes, and smaller orange halves. Seven holes at the bottom of the press allow you to aim the juices exactly where you want them collected.
Built onto the top side, there are a retractable metal corkscrew and lever for opening wine bottles. There is also a retractable metal bottle opener.
On the top of the citrus press, there is a jigger, with graduated lines to measure 0.5 ounces, 1 ounce, and 1.5 ounce shots; there are channels on either side for easy pouring.
When you open the citrus press, hidden in multi-tool style there are three metal tools: a knife, a label knife, and a can lance. Be careful — all of these are very sharp!
Built onto the front of the citrus press, there is a metal zester, perfect for grating a bit of lemon, orange, or lime peel.
On the opposite side of the zester, there is a channel knife — perfect for creating spiral citrus garnishes for drinks or meals.
The Barbarian includes nine tools in all, and each one performs its function well.
I can’t think of a better housewarming gift or a better way to consolidate a bar or kitchen drawer. The Barbarian is a professional-grade tool that is made to last.
The Barbarian Bar Tool retails for $59.95, and it is available directly from the manufacturer and from other retailers including Amazon [affiliate link].
