Power bank manufacturers keep shoving higher capacity batteries into smaller packages for less money, and that’s great for us! At $30, the Choetech 10,400mAh Portable Power Bank is a 4″ long by 3″ wide by 1″ thick little brick that can get you through the longest of days with plenty of juice.
Choetech makes quality products that I’ve enjoyed reviewing in the past, so when they offered me their new power bank, I figured it would be another great device to add to my arsenal; I was right.
The Choetech 10,400mAh Portable Power Bank is a solid little 9.4 ounce powerhouse that puts up to three full charges for your larger capacity smartphone battery in your pocket, or one full charge for your tablet. You’ll have to supply the charging cable if you use an Apple product, but there is a microUSB cable included.
Pressing the power button displays the remaining charge in 25% increments.
There are two USB ports built into the side: each delivers 3.0 charging capability for fast charging on devices that support it. It does require pressing the power button for device charging to commence; as someone who likes to carry my power source in a bag with an easily accessible cable hanging out, I do wish that step wasn’t necessary.
Interestingly enough, there are two input chargers on this power bank — Input 2 is the microUSB port that we are used to seeing, but Input 1 is an Apple Lightning port! That’s something I’ve never seen on a power bank, and what it means is that iPhone or iPad users can use the same cable they use to charge their device to charge this power bank! Handy right? That’s one less cable you’ll need to keep around.

If you need a power bank, the Choetech is a great option; it delivers a fast charge, and it can be charged with either the included microUSB cable or the Lightning cable all iPhone or iPad users already have. The price is great too!
