With the elimination of the headphone jack from the iPhone 7 a whole host of peripherals will need to be re-implemented to work off of the lightening connector. This includes medical technology. DarioHealth made the Dario that works with the iPhone 6’s headphone jack and now they have added a lightning connector version designed to work with the iPhone 7!

As my wife has Type 2 diabetes I know the importance of tracking her blood glucose. My wife has tried various meters over the years, including one from Bayer that would connect to your computer via USB. Usually she falls back to one of the cheap standbys that our insurance will assist in paying for. Keeping track of your blood glucose over time gives you insight to how your treatment is working and also helps you make good choices at dinner time. DarioHealth has now made it simple for you to keep track of your blood glucose levels.

“DarioHealth is a personalized, pocket-sized, all-in-one digital glucose meter coupled with a mobile app to manage diabetes quickly, efficiently and accurately. Using the technology and mobility of your smartphone, Dario connects to your mobile device and automatically logs your blood glucose measurements giving patients the ability to share their results with caregivers and physicians anywhere. There are additional food, emotional and environmental logs available to provide a holistic look at the individuals health.”

Keep reading Gear Diary as my wife and I will be testing the iPhone 6 version of this soon!
