Braven is one of those brands that when you see the name, you already know you’re going to get your money’s worth. So it’s no surprise the booths at CES 2017 were booming with anticipation about their latest fleet of products.

The well recognized audio makers Braven announced a new active category for their users with the Braven FLYE Sports Line in-ear headphones here in Las Vegas. A part of Braven’s ActiveSeries, the new line will feature four new Bluetooth enabled earbuds that include the FLYE Sport, FLYE Sport Reflect, and the Bluetooth enabled FLYE SPORT POWER & SPORT GLO earbuds.

The FLYE Sport are a super lightweight Bluetooth wireless headphone that you can take from the weight room to the treadmill without feeling like you are being boggled down during a workout. With an IPX5 waterproof rating and a discreet battery pack, you’ll still get Braven’s signature sound in a comfortable low-profile set of earbuds that for $49.99, you can purchase in Silver/Electric or Slate/Crimson.

Next are the FLYE Sport Reflect, which have a similar IPX5 Waterproof rating, with the difference being these are designed for the outdoor rating thanks to a reflective lining that will make sure you are seen at a distance on those night runs. Braven even went out of their way to include a 900mAh battery bank that will extend those runs from five hours of music playback to 25 in case you decide to run across the country (if you’re into that type of thing). Available in the second quarter of 2017, you can actually get these in the same colorways as the standard FLYE Sport.

A pair that honestly intrigued me had to be the FLYE Sport Power. As an outdoor runner, the Sport Power not only come with an IPX7 waterproof rating, they feature a 10-hour playtime with the option of having a charging neck cable that will double the battery life to up to 20-hours. With companion ear hooks, they won’t occasionally fall out of your ear, and with app-controlled glow lights, you can enhance your visibility while on your outdoor runs. On top of that, you get Audio Ambient Awareness, which give the user the option to hear surrounding noise without disrupting their activity. These will be available in the second quarter for $149.99

Finally, there’s the FLYE Sport Go, a wireless pair of earbuds that are essentially the Sport power minus the cables. Compatible with the Braven Sport Active app, the Sport Glo by Braven are a truly wireless experience that not only stay in your ear, but are waterproof, give you five hours of playback, and include a 1400mAh charging case that can charge you up even on the way to the gym, making sure you’re never on the treadmill without your music. Available in the second quarter, you can get the FLYE Sport Glo with Bluetooth Smart for $249.99.

“We’ve always envisioned this category being on the horizon for the brand,” says Andy Fathollahi, Chief Executive. “The concept for the Active Series was established on the premise of creating genuinely portable audio that would allow your music to truly go the distance with you, and we’ve made that vision a reality with our new FLYE SPORT line of powerful, in-ear audio.”
