One booth at Showstoppers at CES 2017 in Las Vegas that surprised me the most was JLab Audio’s. The award winning company announced that they too will be joining the completely wireless earbud market with their Epic Air Bluetooth Earbuds.

Available for preorder now and expected to ship next month are the $149.99 Epic Air earbuds. With a revolutionary design, JLab promises that their Epic Air’s will give you the true wireless experience with their product. Many companies have had trouble trying to figure out a problematic issue with wireless earbuds and that’s their connectivity and frequent cut-outs. It seems as if JLab may have the remedy as their patent-pending design includes an antenna ear hook which will present a stronger Bluetooth connection. Each ear hook comes with Bluetooth 4.1 with aptX antennas.

Aside from an awesome antenna concept, the Epic Air earbuds feature a SIX hour battery life, which Trumps (no relation) any others in the wireless market. JLab also includes a charging case that offers over 30 hours of battery life. The case itself can also charge any other device that needs some juice, so this is already shaping up to be the leading competitor for truly wireless buds in 2017.

“The JLab Epic Air is a refreshing innovation of true wireless earbuds designed with fitness in mind,” says JLab Audio CEO Win Cramer. “Our battery life and charging solution blow away anything out there – and our Bluetooth connectivity design is so impressive, we patented it. We’re excited to set the bar for comfort, fit, battery life and true wireless performance.”

Coming complete with iPX5 splash proof rating and universal controls, the Epic Air will hold up in the gym against your sweat, as well as hold up in the rain and outdoor elements. The controls only require a tap or two in order to get things done and work with both Siri and Google Assistant (sorry Alexa users, no love here).
