V2 Pro Series 3X Vaporizer Kit Review: Sleek, Compact, and Discreet

Two years ago, I gave the V2 Pro vaporizer a try; today, I’ve got the new V2 Pro Series 3X Vaporizer in hand, and it’s an interesting upgrade. Designed for e-liquid but adaptable for loose leaf and wax, the Series 3X adds variable voltage and temperature settings for your vaping pleasure.

Included in the kit are a series 3X vaporizer (available in charcoal, crimson, or gun-metal), a series 3 sub-ohm ceramic e-Liquid cartridge, a series X e-Liquid cartridge, three interchangeable atomizers in 0.9 sub-ohm, 1.2 ohms & 1.5 ohms, a magnetic charging cord, and a user manual.

Here’s a quick overview of the new features …

The V2 Pro Series 3X Vaporizer measures approximately 6″ long by 0.5″. Its long, metal (aluminum?), cylindrical body is sleeker than most other e-Liquid vaporizers; it looks like a fat pen or a metal cigar case, and it feels good in the hand. On the front, there is a large, silver multifunction button. Pressing the button once will activate the vaporizer (if it is unlocked); pressing twice will adjust the voltage (there are LEDs on the back that display the voltage chosen). Three presses will lock and unlock the vaporizer, and 9 clicks will activate stealth mode — where no lights will display when you are using it.

The cartridge that comes installed is the series 3 sub-ohm ceramic e-Liquid cartridge. To remove it from the vaporizer, you simply pull and it will slide out. When the cartridge is in the cylinder, it is held in place with magnets.

I’ll show you the differences between the two included cartridges, but it’s worth noting how much more complex the ceramic cartridge is.

You can see here that the 3 sub-ohm ceramic e-Liquid cartridge is slightly longer than the Series X e-Liquid cartridge.

The 3 sub-ohm ceramic e-Liquid cartridge unscrews on the bottom so that you can change out the atomizer.

There are three atomizer sizes included in your kit: 1.50 ohm, 0.90 ohm, and 1.20 ohm. If you already have liquid in your cartridge when you decide to change the atomizer size, you simply hold the cartridge upside down while changing them out.

Series 3X cartridges are versatile, allowing for PG or VG usage. Interchangeable atomizers come in 0.9 sub-ohm, 1.2 ohm & 1.5 ohm, giving the Series 3X e-liquid cartridge universal e-liquid compatibility. A ceramic heater delivers maximum vapor and clean, rich flavor.

The Series 3X e-liquid cartridge also has a built-in adjustable ring “that allows you to choose more or less airflow.” There are four different settings: Minimum, where there are no holes showing through the window; Slight, where there is one hole showing through the window; More, where there are two holes showing through the window; and Full, where a wide slit is visible through the window.

There are also replacement cartridges available (if you like to swap out flavors, having a spare is handy), a wax cartridge and a loose leaf cartridge.

V2 included their e-Liquid 6-flavor 10mL sampler which includes: Sahara (1.2% nicotine), Menthol (1.2% nicotine), Red Tobacco (1.2 or 1.8% nicotine), Peppermint (1.2% nicotine), and Grape (1.2% nicotine). To fill the cartridge, you’ll simply unscrew the mouthpiece from the cartridge’s body. V2 recommends that you hold the cartridge at a slight angle while you fill it to avoid spills. They also suggest that you not fill the cartridge beyond the fill line; I’m assuming that they mean the top of the atomizer (I can’t see any other line), so I stopped just above it.

One the e-Liquid cartridge has been placed back into the vaporizer’s body (you’ll line the notch built into the mouthpiece to the notch cut into the vaporizer’s cylinder), you have windows to show you remaining liquid on the front of the vaporizer and on the back.

Once you’ve tapped the power button three times to unlock the vaporizer, you can adjust its voltage by clicking the power button twice will advance the voltage/temperature settings by one. There are three different voltages available for e-Liquid and wax cartridges: 1.8V, 2.5V, and 3.3V. A higher voltage/temperature settings will produce more vapor, so if you like to see more of a cloud, 3.3 (or three LEDs showing) is the one to choose.

My daughter gave the V2 Pro Series 3X Vaporizer a try, and while “pencil vapes” aren’t her favorite, she likes its style. She likes that you can swap out the atomizers without emptying the V2 first and that it has a stealth mode which is great for those who don’t care about a simulated “burning” at the base of their vaporizer. She says that if you aren’t into huge vaporizer clouds, the V2 is good, and she thinks the e-Liquids are tasty although the peppermint was a bit harsh. The airflow and draw on the 3X are good, but if you are looking for “clouds”, this isn’t the vape for you.

If you want a simple to use a vaporizer that can adapt to use multiple vaporizing products through different cartridges, if you need temperature control, and if you want a slim vaporizer that doesn’t look like an engineering project, the V2 Pro Series 3X Vaporizer Kit will be a great choice.

Bonus: If you upgrade from the V2 Pro Series 3 vaporizer to the V2 Pro Series 3X, you’ll be pleased to learn that all parts are interchangeable between the two models.

What I Like: Slim, discreet style; Easy to operate; Interchangeable cartridges for different liquids, waxes, or loose leaves; Three different temperatures; Adjustable mouthpiece airflow; All parts are interchangeable with V2 Series 3, so if you bought extra cartridges for that one, they will fit in this one

What Needs Improvement: If you are looking for “clouds”, this isn’t the vape for you
