Full Windsor Muncher: The Titanium Multi-Utensil You’ve Been Waiting For

When I travel, I inevitably end up in my hotel room with leftovers I’ve brought back from some restaurant. My intentions are good — I’m trying to not waste food from the meal I had, but 9-times-out-of-10 I don’t have anything to eat the leftovers with. I keep a Full Windsor Muncher Multi-Utensil in my checked luggage now: problem solved.

Full Windsor Muncher: The Titanium Multi-Utensil You've Been Waiting For

The Full Windsor Muncher started as a successful Kickstarter project last year. Billed as “the world’s most functional titanium multi-utensil”, it’s a 6.5″ long by 1″ wide titanium spork that has all of these functions built-in:

  • Spork
  • Serrated butter knife
  • Can opener
  • Bottle opener
  • Peeler
  • Firestarter
  • Cord cutter
  • Pry-bar
  • Box cutter
  • Flathead screwdriver

Honestly, all it’s missing is a wine-bottle opener! Hopefully, they’ll get right on that for the next edition. 😉

Obviously, my uses for the Muncher won’t be the same as someone else’s, but I love the idea of always having a clean fork, spoon, and knife with me when I travel. People who camp, hike, or backpack will definitely appreciate owning one.

Included in the package is the Full Windsor Muncher, a carrying pouch, a carabiner if you want to attach the pouch inside a bag or elsewhere, and a ferro fire flint firestarter (say that three times fast) with a bit of paracord attached.

The Muncher weighs less than 1 ounce, but it is strong and loaded with features. Whether you are simply using it to open a can (or bottle), as an emergency flat-head screwdriver, or using it to cut and eat a steak you just pulled off the campfire (or out of a takeaway box), the Muncher can handle it.

You can even use the included firestarter to start an impromptu campfire if you need to — just strike the back-end of the knife against the ferro fire flint and catch the sparks on some dry moss then throw on some kindling. That’s a little more outdoorsy than I’ll likely ever need to be, but it’s nice to know that the functionality is there, right?

The Full Windsor Muncher is easy to clean, versatile, and it takes up hardly any room. While it would be an awesome addition to a carry-on, the TSA can be weird about knives — even when they are rounded, so it’s probably not a good idea to try carrying it onto a plane. Just put it in your checked luggage, and call it good.

Since the Muncher has so many uses, it would definitely be a great addition if you keep a go-bag ready for earthquakes or fires. I keep a go-bag in the back of my Jeep, and I am going to order a second Muncher to go there.

If you have a hard-to-buy-for friend or loved one that likes to camp, hike, or backpack, the £39.99 Full Windsor Muncher would be a fantastic gift. At less than $60US, it’s a gift that will be useful and long-lasting. You should still have time to get delivery by Christmas if you hurry …
