Como Audio Combines Classic Style with Cutting Edge Features

Como Audio is one of those brands where as soon as you hear the name, you know what’s to follow is some good news. Back at CES 2017, they stunned everyone with their Wi-FI Streaming and Internet device, and a year later the company has more to show us.

The first of the two announcements by Como Audio is the Amico, which is a lighter speaker by the brand, that also allows users to listen from room to room anything they want, from podcasts, internet radio, media streams and even FM radio. See that’s what makes Como Audio special because they managed to hand-craft these devices that are not only lightweight and made for Bluetooth but are also portable.

Coming complete with eight hours of playback time, the Amico weighs less than four pounds, that’s including the battery pack that comes with it. Designed for Spotify Connect, and Bluetooth with aptX, the Amico comes with Advanced Audio Coding (AAC) for top-notch sound quality, and NFC compatibility for pairing multiple devices. The battery itself is rechargeable for up to 8 hours of playback, and with a 1×3” custom 4-layer coil woofer, and 1 x ¾” dome tweeter, you’re going to be amazed by your listening experience. Now the price – At $399, it’s not the cheapest, but I dare you to find it’s competition.

“Today people of all ages have active lifestyles and want the ability to not only access music content from several music sources, but to listen to music while outside, whether sitting on one’s terrace, in the backyard, at the beach, or on even on a boat,” says Tom DeVesto Como Audio Founder and Designer. “Amico was designed to not only make it easy to access all of your music content with the press of a button, but to listen to great sounding music wherever you go.”

Now, if you’re looking for a bit more out of your home audio device, and don’t plan on taking it poolside with you in the summer, the Como Audio offers you the Musica, a Wi-Fi Multi-Room music system that comes complete with a CD player, because yes people still use compact discs.

Available in Walnut, Piano Black or Piano White, Tom DeVesto, Founder and CEO of Como Audio speaks volumes about the Musica. The device does a bit more than it’s more portable counterpart, giving users access to Internet Radio and Spotify as a standard, with the addition of Tidal, Deezer, Napster, and Amazon Music.

“No music lover wants to listen to music through a smartphone or other device, nor do they want to rely on apps to play their music,” says Tom DeVesto of Como Audio. “Our intent was to put all of your favorite music sources into one single device and at your fingertips, including that CD collection you have acquired, and make it a most enjoyable and easy, room-filling listening experience.”

The Musica being the larger device comes with better specs, and of course a larger price tag. Measuring 16” W x 6-1/2” D x 5-5/8” H. It is suggested to retail for $599 in Walnut and $649 in Hickory; Piano Black and Piano White are also available, and it comes with a 2-year warranty.
