Belkin, one of our favorite accessory companies, is showing off a host of new products at CES 2018. Among them are new wireless charging offerings, a new power bank and a power delivery wall charging collection. They all arrive this spring and summer. Here’s a quick rundown of some of what they will have on hand.

Belkin makes a wide range of products and a day doesn’t pass that at least a few Gear Diary writers aren’t making use of some of their products. Not content to depend on past successes, the company is ready to make a big showing this year. As Steve Molony, General Manager and Vice President of Belkin notes,

This year we are taking our extensive knowledge of consumer trends, expected changes in charging behavior, and experience building the best wireless charging and mobile power products to the next level. From our vantage point of being first and best to market, we expect to see a race to deliver wireless charging products given the spike in adoption in 2017. Our focus remains on delivering a cohesive, seamless, convenient and optimal mobile power experience for the consumer – whether they are at home, at work, or on the go. We are confident that our continued focus on people-inspired design, user testing and prototyping processes, strict adherence to compliance and safety, manufacturing, and warranty programs will keep us in the number one position to provide the highest quality products to consumers around the world.

Now that the new Apple iPhones offer wireless charging, there’s no question that the market for wireless charging products will continue to explode.

Belkin will be showing off their BOOST UP Bold Wireless Charging Pad. This universal wireless charging pad supports Apple, Samsung, and other Qi-enabled devices. The 10W output means Qi-enabled devices that support fast wireless charging will be able to be topped off and ready to go faster than ever. The fact that these chargers will be available in a variety of colors means consumers will no longer have to be content with choosing just white or black. Instead, they will be able to personalize their setup and match the color and aesthetics of their main devices. Available later this spring and summer, the chargers are engineered to minimize the amount of electromagnetic noise and to ensure full device functionality. The chargers can deliver power through cases as thick as 3mm and include a wall adapter. (That may not sound like a big deal, but two of the wireless chargers I purchased when I got my iPhone X only came with a USB cable.

The BOOST?UP Wireless Charging Stand is designed to supports landscape and portrait mode so you can see, and use, your device as it charges.

It offers a “significant amount of shielding, precision resistors, premium materials and components inside of the charging pad provides maximum charging efficiency and peace of mind.” It arrives in the next few months.

The BOOST?UP Wireless Charging Car Mount can be mounted on the dash or a window and is adjustable so it can accommodate phones of various sizes. The mount charges the phone upon contact while able to maintain full device functionality. This includes the use of WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth, LTE and other forms of data consumption. It is also designed to help maintain the health of the device’s battery. Also, it has an extra USB port so you can charge an additional device at the same time. I’ve been hoping for a wireless car charger, so this is a product I’m excited to see coming to market. It arrives this summer.

The BOOST?UP Dual Wireless Charging Pad has two pads. This allows for multi-device / multi-accessory charging and will help cut down on clutter. It also arrives this summer.

Finally, the BOOST?UP™ Wireless Charging System is a commercial-grade wireless charging system for public applications. It offers versatile mounting options include a top-mount, flush-mount, or sub-surface mount. This product is designed for commercial applications including conference rooms, user desktops, retail, restaurants, hospitality/hotels, etc. I know I’ll be picking one up for my synagogue when it arrives this summer.

Belkin is also bringing a new power bank to market. The Pocket Power USB-C 10K is a lightweight power pack that will fast charge Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 enabled devices up to 80% in 35 minutes. It has a portable, sleek design that can fit into your pocket. The non-scratch enclosure means you can place devices on it for charging without fear that the device will be scratched. It arrives this spring.

Finally, Belkin is ready to help you get charged at home with a line of fast-charging wall chargers and power delivery systems. As they explain,

USB Power Delivery, or USB PD, is a charging protocol that uses high-speed USB-C connectors and cables. Smartphones, tablets, and laptops that are Power Delivery-enabled allow safe, faster charging and more power for larger devices, without the need of a separate power supply. USB PD will charge your smartphone up to 70% faster than standard 5W charging. The USB Power Delivery chipset automatically detects the connected device, whether it’s a small phone or a large laptop. It then delivers the exact power required for fastest possible charging, but not too much which could damage circuitry.

The Belkin Home Charger 27W has power delivery technology that enables optimal, safe and fast charging for larger devices such as Ultrabooks, MacBooks, and tablets.

The Dual-Port Home Charger 27W + USB-C to USB-A Cable also has power delivery technology that enables optimal, safe and fast charging. The multi-device charging support provides 27W power delivery output from the USB-C port and 12W output from the USB-A port. Both land this summer.
