The iota allows users to automatically record activity due to set triggers and sensors from within the app as well. Did I mention that there will be local Nest and Ecobee support, as well as Phillips Hue and LifX directly? This thing can do it all.
With an integrated battery backup, you will get 10+ hours of battery life in the event your power goes out, and for pro-level monitoring, there are plans that you can purchase monthly that allow three to seven-day increments, up to an annual subscription for year-long viewing.
