Tile Revamps Their Pro & Mate Line with Replaceable Batteries

If you are a fan of popular key-finders the Tile Pro and Tile Mate, you’ll be excited to know that the company has added significant updates to the two products that you’ll certainly enjoy.

Finally listening to its users (including me) who have wanted replaceable batteries for their Tile for years, the company announced this week that their two newer products (Tile Pro and Tile Mate) both will feature replaceable coin cell batteries. This is MUCH more convenient for a user to purchase and be able to just swap out a battery, rather than have to buy a completely new Tile every year.

But what’s more exciting is if you don’t want to deal with ordering your own cell batteries on Amazon, Tile has introduced a subscription-based service that is appropriately named “Tile Premium” that will cover the cost of your replacement batteries, for all of the Tiles on your account. I know that I personally have a Tile for everything that I frequently lose, things like my keys and even my remote control. If the Tile were a bit more fashionable, I’m sure Sparky would have a Tile on his collar as well!

Also with premium, you receive Smart Alerts that allow you to be notified when you’ve strayed too far away from your Tile, on top of having a thirty-day location history of each of your devices.

“At Tile, we’re constantly seeking to improve the performance and experience of using our products,” said CJ Prober, Chief Executive Officer. “Listening to our customers plays a huge role in our development process, and we’ve consistently received one request: the desire for a replaceable battery. With the new Mate and Pro, we’re excited to introduce our first-ever replaceable battery model and our best-performing Tiles ever.”

Tile Premium is available for $2.99 a month, or $29.99 annually, and it’s one price for all of your Tiles. It also comes with a free 30-day trial so you can test it out to see if you like it.
