Ventev is one of those companies that tend to fly under the radar. They don’t use flashy advertising. Their products don’t have bright neon colors. They don’t load products with flashy, but useless, bells and whistles. But their products are great. Case in point, the Ventev universal wireless chargepad+.
The Ventev wireless chargepad+ is a small, simple but elegant wireless charger. This small disk measures just a few inches in diameter but packs some serious wireless charging goodness inside. Thanks to Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 charger technology, it delivers 7.5W of fast charging to compatible Apple devices and 10W of charging to compatible Samsung devices.
And while Ventev makes a point of the charger’s capability of working with Apple and Samsung devices, the chargepad+ is actually a universal charging pad that works with all devices with Qi wireless charging capabilities.
The bottom and sides of the wireless chargepad+ a constructed from plastic. It has an attractive silver color that looks classy. On the bottom, there are four small rubber “feet” that keep the charger from moving around if you place the charger on a smooth surface. When on a desk or countertop it is unassuming and quietly waits to be needed.
On the back is a USB-C charging port. This is designed to work with the USB-A to USB-C cable that ships with the unit, as well as a US 110V wall adapter.
The front of the wireless charger houses a small LED that glows when a device is “connected” to the charger (ie: placed on top of it) and receiving power. The LED is tiny and, if you are not specifically looking for it, odds are you won’t notice it is there.
The top of the Ventev wireless chargepad+ is covered with a soft fabric material. It looks quite attractive and adds a bit of uniqueness and class to something that is otherwise far from noteworthy. (That’s not meant as a knock but is simply the reality that there is only so much a company can do with the design of a simple, round wireless charger.) In addition, the slight texture of the fabric prevents a phone placed on top from sliding around. Personally, I just like the way it looks.

The Ventev wireless chargepad+ comes with the charging unit, a five-foot cable, and a wall adapter. It works with more wireless devices and will even charge a phone while in a case.
