The CURVE BT 120 NC by Phiaton just from a few weeks of testing has made me stash away my Apple Airpods thanks to some features and functionalities that make the high-performance earbuds potentially my favorite sub-$100 gift to give family or friends this year. Featuring active noise cancellation, an IPX4 waterproof rating, and substantial battery life on top of having Phiaton’s patented “Fast Charging Technology”, if you are looking for a great pair of headphones for the gym or on the go, the CURVE BT 120 NC is that good.
Available in black or white, the CURVE is equipped with Bluetooth 4.2 which on a full charge will give you an entire work day (8.5 hours) of battery life which for me is exactly what I need. Too many times I’ve found myself forgetting to charge my Bluetooth headphones only to end up at the gym without music or podcasts to listen to. That no longer is the case thanks to Fast Charging Technology I spoke of earlier. With just five minutes of charging you’ll get an extra hour of usage, which is great for getting dressed for a quick run.
The CURVE earbuds both feature 12mm dynamic drivers with double layered carbon film for an overall robust yet balanced sound. This makes listening to music not only great to listen to, but podcasts such as “Serial”, or the “Young Black & Bothered” crystal clear when listening to the hosts discussing topics. I personally use the CURVE all day long from home, to work to the gym, and it’s one of those earbuds that look stylish without being completely over the top. With the RightFit ear wings, I’ve yet to have them fall out of my ears and dare I say, compared to neck-band style headphones like say the PowerBeats, the CURVE overall sound better, look better, and most important… won’t break the bank.
