The new Schlage Encode is a connected smart lock that adds to a portfolio of already stellar Schlage devices created to protect homeowners with convenient access management without intrusive third-party cameras or hubs.

The Encode is a deadbolt that’s not just easy to install, but will connect to your in-home WiFi for remote access. As a bonus, you can connect Amazon’s Cloud Cam to the smart lock kit to monitor things like deliveries or intruders, even though that’s not required for the Encode to function properly. What’s more, if you have the popular Ring devices, you can now lock and unlock your Encode directly from the live feed of your Ring doorbell or camera through the Ring app. Being able to also use the “Key” skill in the Alexa app will allow you to use voice control to lock and unlock as well.
