We got a dose of winter a few weeks ago here in the northeast, and I was once again reminded that I hate the cold. But winter will soon be here, and anything that helps keep me warm is welcome in my home. The Comfy is a simple idea but one that I’ll be wearing all winter long.
The Comfy is a cross between a blanket and a sweatshirt. And while it might look a bit dorky at first, I’ve been using my review sample quite a bit and I love it. Raina loves it too, and I’ll be buying her one so I don’t have to share mine.
The Comfy comes in a range of different colors. Solid ones are usually priced at $44.95; most Comfy’s are currently $39.99.
They also offer s number of specialty Comfys including an American Flag Comfy, a Santa Comfy, an Elf Comfy, and a Reindeer Comfy; each is $59.99. Finally, the company partnered with the Susan G Komen Foundation to create a pink version that is usually $49.99 but is currently $39.99. In addition, the company has committed to making a donation of $50,000 to the Foundation regardless of sales. I’m really impressed they didn’t make the donation contingent on the number of items sold!
The Comfy looks like an oversized sweatshirt that, depending on the height of the wearer, extends down to just above the knees. It is made from 100% polyester and is incredibly soft. The outer material is a fleece microfiber while the interior is a “premium fluffy sherpa.”
The large hood is great for extra warmth and is large enough that I’m able to pull it over my head even when I am wearing large, over-the-ear headphones.
The large front pocket is great for remotes, or pretty much anything you might want to carry while wandering around the house.
The low hem is great for keeping your butt warm even on the coldest of nights, and it large enough that, even at 6’ 1”, I’m able to bring my knees up to my chest when laying on the couch.
And since the Comfy is made to be worn day after day, night after night, it’s good to know that it is machine washable. When it is getting a bit ripe, all you have to do is toss it in the washer and then dry it on low.
Describing their product as a “luxurious, warm, and soft blanket/sweatshirt seen on Shark Tank,” this how the founders explain their product’s origin.
We’re Brian and Michael Speciale, a couple of single dads living in the desert who had a crazy idea one day, made a prototype, found a manufacturer, got ourselves on Shark Tank, sang (badly) in front of millions, and are continuing to grind every single day.

I realize I look a bit silly in the Comfy. Raina does too. But when it is cold… who cares? Using the comfy is as easy as putting on a hooded sweatshirt, and it is as comfortable as being wrapped in a blanket. I love my review sample, and I know it will come in quite handy during a winter that will, I suspect, be quite cold. You can check out the various colors and designs and order yours here.
