Eufy is a brand from Anker that I’ve trusted for a while now. They are known for their high-quality products at reasonable prices while listening to customer feedback to constantly improve. The latest innovation is the RoboVac L70 Hybrid; a robotic vacuum that mops as well as vacuums and uses laser navigation. The RoboVac L70 Hybrid retails for $549.99.

As far as robotic vacuums go, the Eufy RoboVac L70 Hybrid has quickly become one of my favorite thanks to its list of innovative features that homeowners will love, including:

  • Strong vacuum suction: up to 2,200Pa of suction power
  • Mop-free mopping: The RoboVac L70 uses a mop pad and water tank to mop your floor without all the work
  • iPath laser navigation: This RoboVac has freakin’ lasers built-in to map your floor and create the most efficient cleaning path
  • Upgraded battery: The RoboVac L70 can clean for up to 2.5 hours, allowing you to clean a large floor or two smaller floors before recharging
  • Affordability: At $549.99, the RoboVac L70 is one of the most affordable robotic vacuums on the market that has all of these features

I was already a fan of Eufy’s previous RoboVacs and the L70 Hybrid further confirms my love for the brand. Not only did they add mopping functionality and laser navigation, keeping up with the robotic vacuum market, they also kept the cost low without sacrificing quality.  It even comes with a waterproof mat to protect your floor from the wet mop while charging if you set the RoboVac to mop while you leave home.

The combo dust bin and water tank

The laser works extremely well, creating a map of our floor and mapping out the most efficient route while also ensuring the entire floor gets cleaned. One of the best things about the laser mapping feature is the fact that you can set virtual boundaries. You can draw on the map to let the RoboVac know not to vacuum or mop certain areas so that it doesn’t get caught on wires.

The suction on the RoboVac L70 Hybrid is fantastic and it picks up a ton of dirt and dust on its voyage around our living room and kitchen. The vacuum is slightly louder than previous models, but that can be attributed to the higher suction power. The vacuum is also slightly taller than previous versions, so it may not fit under all of the same furniture, but that’s due to the spinning laser sticking up from the rear of the vacuum body.

Mopping plate installed

When you want to mop, you need to install the mopping plate to the bottom of the vacuum. The plate simply clips onto the vacuum and cues the RoboVac that you want to mop. Attached to the mopping plate is a washable and reusable microfiber mop cloth. You’ll need to fill the water tank, which sits directly above the dust bin, with water before you mop. The water pump will bring water from the tank and wet the microfiber mop cloth, which will then mop your floor, picking up any dirt and grime that the vacuum didn’t get.  My only complaint is that Eufy only recommends water in the tank, which means you don’t get rid of any germs.

The RoboVac L70 Hybrid is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant and has WiFi built-in for ease of use with the EufyHome app. Inside the app, you can set schedules, adjust all sorts of settings, set virtual boundaries, and much more. The app is well-designed and simple to use; you can even get push notifications when there is an error message.

I’m a huge fan of Eufy’s products and the RoboVac L70 Hybrid is no exception. I can’t honestly find much to complain about here, which is saying something. There are tons of features packed into this RoboVac while maintaining a reasonable price, can you ask for more?

The Eufy RoboVac L70 Hybrid retails for $549.99, and it is available directly from the manufacturer as well as from Amazon [affiliate link].
