Everything we own these days needs to be charged. Phones, computers, earbuds, toothbrushes, watches, hats…if it’s an item you carry, it probably has a charging cable. Which means you need lots of power bricks. Aukey wants to help, and their new Omnia Series will make your life at least a little easier, even if you need to charge your shoes.
Charging is a necessity that you probably don’t think about much, but upgrading your power bricks can have a big impact on your everyday routine. The Omnia line has a few things under the hood that will keep things running smoothly and fully juiced. The chargers use power delivery (PD), so you get a super-fast charging experience. They’re up to 66% smaller than the included power bricks for Macbooks, so you won’t need to carry around a giant boxy plug. And they include what Aukey calls the OmniaChip, which helps with those fast charging speeds without driving up your electric bill in the process.
Best of all, the chargers all use Aukey’s Dynamic Detect feature. This allows the brick to know what it’s charging, from computers to Nintendos to phones, and modulate the output accordingly. With how many devices use USB-C these days, it means you could theoretically use one cord and just rotate what you’re charging, and the Aukey setup will know the difference and charge it all safely. No more digging under your desk muttering curses as you try to figure out what needs to be plugged where!
