Basically, you can take notes, read important documents, and access information without even opening the laptop. It offers up to 24 hours of battery life when uses eInk only, and it has a garaged pen, so you’re never without a means to take a quick note.
The ThinkBook Plus Gen 2 i should be available in early 2021, starting at $1,549.
Lenovo ThinkBook 13x i
If the idea of a powerful and compact ThinkBook sounds great, but you don’t need the eInk screen, there’s the ThinkBook 13x i, which comes in at a svelte 12.9mm thin and weighs less than 1.2kg (about 2.6lbs).
The Lenovo ThinkBook 13x i features Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, and Thunderbolt 4, so everything sounds good, looks good, and connects quickly. It’s based on the Intel Evo platform and has a low power 11th Gen Intel Core Processor for power without dragging battery life.
Look for the ThinkBook 13x i in early 2021, starting at $1,199.
Lenovo ThinkBook 14p Gen 2 and ThinkBook 16p Gen 2
Maybe what you need is power. In that case, consider the ThinkBook 14p Gen 2 and ThinkBook 16p Gen 2. Lenovo says these are optimized for video conferencing with a Full HD webcam and, of course, ThinkShutter physical covers, a big touchpad area, and a backlit keyboard with quick access conference call keys. While it won’t help you weasel out of your 12th Zoom meeting of the day, at least you’ll be able to launch it quickly! There’s also an AI-based noise cancellation algorithm, so your coworkers won’t hear your kids watching YouTube in the background as well.
ThinkBook 14p Gen 2 can have up to a 14″ 2.8K OLED display, and the ThinkBook 16p Gen 2will have an option for an NVIDIA GeForce RTX Laptop GPU as well as a pre-calibrated display that is X-Rite Pantone Certified, so you’ll finally be able to settle that “does this shirt match my tie” debate once and for all.
ThinkBook 14p Gen 2 will start at $849, while ThinkBook 16p Gen 2 starts at $1,299.
