What’s holding you back from hardcore gaming on your phone? Speed? Battery life? Not wanting your phone to double as a space heater? Good news! No matter your issue, Lenovo addresses it with the speedy, dual-battery, twin turbo-fan cooled Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2!

The Legion Phone Duel 2 will use Advanced Technology Architecture 2.0 for symmetry in landscape mode, plus it has a passive cooling vapor chamber and twin turbo-fans, so it will stay cool while zipping along. It’s going to sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G Mobile Platform, with up to a jaw-dropping 18GB LPDDR5 memory and up to 512GB of storage.

I still remember my college roommate spinning in his office chair, tenting his fingers and laughing maniacally at how powerful he was to have 1GB of memory, and that was in a desktop tower the size of a toddler!

Screen-wise, the Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2 is sporting a 6.92″ AMOLED HDR 10+ Gorilla Glass 5 display with a 144Hz refresh rate.

Lenovo knows that gaming on the go has unique needs, so they added some new features to the Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2 to make it even better. There’s a 44-megapixel pop-up selfie cam (horizontal, because you’ll be holding it sideways when gaming anyway) that uses AI features to remove backgrounds and use filters and animated avatars.

AI optimization also boosts noise-canceling microphones, so you get better quality audio even if you’ve decided you desperately need to stream Twitch in the middle of public transit.

The rear cameras are pretty impressive, too!

The dual 2,750mAh batteries create a 5,500 mAh total capacity with up to 90W fast charging. There are two USB-C ports, so you can charge off of whichever is more conveniently placed, depending on what you’re doing. The Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2 runs ZUI 12.5 based on Android 11, so you’ll have access to tons of games and apps!

The Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2’s final trick is very gamer-centric. It offers eight virtual keys, with four ultrasonic shoulder keys, two rear capacitance touchpoints, and two in-display force touchpoints. The idea is that when you hold the phone horizontally, the layout will feel intuitive. There’s Dual HaptiX, a dual X-axis haptic vibration, so you’ll know you’ve touched the right invisible button.

If you’re super excited about this, I hope you live in Asia or Europe, as this beast won’t be hitting North America quite yet.

The Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2 will be available in Titanium White or Ultimate Black for €999.00 with a 16GB/512GB memory combo and an included fast-charge dock. There is also a slightly more budget-friendly €799.00 version available; it sells without the dock and “only” comes with 12GB/256GB memory.
