Nomad is on a roll this spring and announcing one new product after another. Today, there are three new premium Nomad leather wallets to look at as well as a brand new product they call “Card for AirTag.” Each wallet has a different card capacity, so there’s sure to be one that’s just right for you. Card for AirTag then takes them to the next level.
Each of the wallets is made with Nomad’s signature Horween leather. Out of the box, they will be gorgeous and, as the company explains,
Over time, the raw, vegetable tanned leather will patina, developing a look that is exclusively yours. From day one to 100, your case will weather but not wear out, creating a handsome, rich character unique to you.
But these new wallets aren’t just crafted from gorgeous leather. Instead, Nomad employed what they refer to as “thermoformed leather.” In this process, the Horween leather is bonded to a thin layer of reinforced fabric and then, with the use of intense heat and pressure, molded into its final shape. As Nomad explains,
This thermoforming process creates space to store your cards without requiring the Nomad leather wallets to stretch out, keeping your cards securely in place and your wallet looking new for longer. But while each wallet is constructed in the same way, each of the three designs, which are available in your choice of black or rustic brown, each serves a different everyday carry style.
The New Nomad Card Wallet
The $69.95 Card Wallet is the wallet for those seeking to carry less. This minimalist wallet can hold up to 10 cards. It has three external card slots and one large inner pocket.
The wallet’s design offers some subtle details that, while easily overlooked, make a huge difference in its design and use. For example, one side of the Card Wallet has two die-cut pockets outside that “eliminate any overlapping leather.” This, in turn, allows the wallet to be a bit thinner than it might otherwise have been. On the other side, there is a quick access pocket the makes it easy to grab your most-used card any time.
Closed, it measures 10.2cm by 7.2cm and is just 1cm thick. The Thermoformed leather holds its shape, and the vegetable-tanned Horween leather will develop a beautiful patina over time. As Nomad explains:

The New Nomad Card Wallet Plus
For those who need to carry a bit more, there’s the new $89.95 Card Wallet Plus. Also made using Nomad’s unique thermoforming process with their Horween leather, it can hold up to 16 cards at one time or up to 12 cards and some folded bills.
There Card Wallet Plus measures 10.2cm by 8cm and is just 1.3cm thick. Inside there are three dedicated card slots. Two deep pockets are ideal for cards or folded bills. An external quick access pocket makes it easy to grab your most used card. And, like the Card Wallet, die-cut card slots help keep the Card Wallet Plus’ thin appearance.

The New Nomad Bifold Wallet
Finally, for those who need to carry more or are simply traditionalists who like the familiar design of a bifold wallet, there’s the new Nomad Bifold Wallet. It, too, is made using Nomad’s thermoforming process. At $119.95, the Bifold wallet is the most expensive of the three new wallets, and it is, of course, also the one designed for the most storage capacity, holding up to 15 cards with ease.
The Bifold also has one external quick access card slot and, unlike the other two wallets in this new collection, the Bifold can hold bills up to 70mm tall without needing to fold them.
The Nomad Bifold Wallet’s large central opening fits unfolded bills and has a hidden pocket for secure card storage. For easy card access, there are six interior pockets and one quick access external pocket.
Measuring 10.8cm by 8cm and 2.1cm thick, it is perfect for the person who tends to overstuff their wallet.
New Nomad Card for AirTag
Finally, Nomad announced their new Card for AirTag, so you can use Apple’s new AirTags to keep tabs on your wallet. The $19.95 Card for AirTag is the size of a credit card. Made from a polycarbonate frame with a soft-touch TPU surface, the Card for AirTag has a smooth, uniform shape and a space perfectly sized for an Apple AirTag. Simply place an AirTag (not included) into the card, and place the Card for AirTag in your wallet as you would any license or credit card.
With a smooth uniform shape, Card for AirTag allows you to keep an AirTag in your wallet without having an unsightly circular bump like you would get by putting an AirTag in your wallet by itself. Card for AirTag is simple to use, just pop in your AirTag and slide into your wallet.
The Card for AirTag prevents the AirTag from creating an unsightly round bump in your new wallet’s leather. I only wish the is was included with the new wallets, but the good news is that they will give you $5 off when you bundle a Nomad leather wallet with the Card for AirTag at purchase.
So there you have it. There are three new Nomad leather wallets; there’s one for minimalists, there’s one for traditionalists, and there is one that sits in the middle for those who just can’t decide how much, or how little, to carry. Beautiful wallets! That thermoforming technique is appealing. My last card wallet had to be retired due to stretching, making cards less secure. That horween leather ages so nicely.
