The Lowdown
It’s not an exaggeration when I say the Dreametech Dreame T30 Cordless Vacuum is the single best vacuum I’ve ever used. It’s taken vacuuming from a dreaded chore to a quick and simple process, and since I just moved into a townhouse that’s almost entirely carpeted, I’ve spent a lot of quality time with the T30!

I have never once uttered the words “I love this vacuum” until the Dreame T30. Using a vacuum is usually an ordeal — my full-size vac is bulky, I have to haul it out of a closet, and it never seems to suction as well as it should. Apparently, I’ve just been using the wrong vacuums all this time because the Dreametech Dreame T30 Cordless Vacuum lives up to its name; it is an absolute dream to use!
There are a few things that make the Dreame T30 Cordless Vacuum stand out. For one, it’s remarkably lightweight. The main bulk of the unit is in the handle/canister/battery section, and you can add or swap attachments as needed. It can act as a small handheld device, or you can add a long, lightweight extension to use it as a regular floor vacuum or reach distant areas.
As the name implies, it’s cordless, which means you charge it up and go, and it works well on both tiled and carpeted surfaces. It offers up to 90 minutes of continuous runtime, and while I haven’t vacuumed for that long, I found that regular, short bursts over the course of a week or so still left me with 40% battery life.
All this power is not super cheap, as the vacuum comes in at just under $500. There are some Prime Day discounts active right now that will bring the price down to under $380 that I will cover at the end of this review.
Even so, it’s replacing a regular vacuum, a handheld small vacuum, and even a broom in some cases, all in a cordless package-when you consider that level of convenience and the amount of technology it takes to cram it all into a small package, the price is very reasonable.
The Dreame T30 Cordless Vacuum came with multiple attachments, ranging from floor brushes to extenders to a jointed attachment that allows you to access cleaning at different angles. I’ve found myself reaching for the narrow nozzle attachment and the broader floor brush most often, and they work extremely well.
The T30 can be charged directly, or you can plug the charger into a dock for the vacuum, which also has slots for several of the attachments. Unfortunately, since I rent and just moved here, I am not in a position to mount anything to the wall at this point.
Still, I tested the dock and found it worked really well — I could see mounting the vacuum in a central place like the kitchen and just leaving it locked and loaded without an issue. I also was deeply impressed with the attachment features. They click in nicely but can be released at the push of a button, making swapping attachments incredibly fast and easy.
I also really need to highlight the fact that the extended nozzle attachment has an LED light. This is a small but absolutely brilliant idea since it means you won’t be on your knees with a phone flashlight trying to spot any bits of debris under cabinets and furniture!
Also, the LED is invaluable if, say, you’re changing lightbulbs and keep breaking them, causing exploded bits of tiny shards of glass all over your bathroom. If you were to do something that idiotic not once but twice in a short span, the LED helps spot those tiny glinty bits that will otherwise embed themselves in your feet at exactly the wrong time.
Again, this is hypothetical, and I definitely didn’t kill two lightbulbs back to back and find myself vacuuming while standing on top of the toilet to avoid glass in my feet. But if that had happened [editors note – it totally happened], the LED would have been the saving grace.
We just moved, and moving is a dusty, dirty business. So between the dirt tracked in from the move and the dust from unpacking what felt like a never-ending supply of cardboard boxes, I was vacuuming each room, sometimes more than once a day.
The T30 slurped up all the dust and grime without complaint and even ate some chunkier bits like a rogue Lego or piece of rock without any jamming or issues.
Due to the sheer volume of what had to get vacuumed, I mostly stuck to Turbo mode, but there is also an auto-sensing mode, eco mode, medium, and the aforementioned Turbo.
Dreame says the T30 can generate up to 190AW of suction power. If that doesn’t mean much to you, in practical terms, it means that my light carpets look noticeably cleaner after the T30 rolls through. The speed at which it can suction also means it’s often faster and easier than reaching for a broom if my son tracks in some dirt or bits of styrofoam everywhere from my unpacking a large item.
Just grab the Dreame T30 Cordless Vacuum, squeeze the trigger, and boom, the whole area is clean and neat again.
You’ll have every attachment you’d need to suck the dust and grime off any hard or carpeted surface in your home. And when you’re done, emptying it is as simple as opening the canister over the garbage.
