The Lowdown

At $129.99, the Cleer Ally Plus II True Wireless Noise Cancelling Earbuds provide a lot of premium features. Long battery life with USB-C or wireless charging will keep you listening all day. The buds fit well and are comfortable. I did not experience any ear fatigue.

The active noise canceling is totally customizable and works really well. I especially like the option to add controls for the ANC on the bud. The sound is great, along with excellent call quality. These true wireless earbuds check a lot of boxes at a relatively affordable price tag.

Overall

Pros

  • Tons of premium features at an affordable price
  • Long-lasting battery life
  • Buds are comfortable in-ear
  • Active Noise Canceling
  • Excellent sound
  • Clear calls

Cons

  • The charging case is a bit too bulky for my pockets

Cleer has released the second iteration of the Ally Plus true wireless earbuds. With long battery life and active noise canceling, and other features, the Cleer Ally Plus II True Wireless Noise Cancelling Earbuds strive to be perfect for anyone on the go. The Cleer+ app allows for adjustments and getting settings perfect for just about any situation.

The Cleer Ally Plus II True Wireless Noise Cancelling Earbuds provide active noise cancellation that can be adjusted forward and backward up to 34dB. The Cleer+ app adjusts with a slider from canceling to adding ambient noise. This is a great feature since each situation is different, and there may be times you need the ambient noise and others when you want to melt away in your own audio.

Upgraded battery life has been added to version two, extending battery life to 11 hours of battery life with another 22 from the charging case. The charging case is charged via USB-C and a wireless charging stand and is a bit large for my taste. The case is truly a box, and I find it to fit oddly in my pocket. Even so, the buds fit well in the case and remain seated for charging. The clear window in the lid allows a quick look at the lights while being charged.

Bluetooth 5.2 connects the earbuds, and custom-tuned 10mm drivers provide the sound. I found the sound quality to be good. With the help of the equalizer option in the Cleer+ app, users can set them to their personal preference sound profiles.

The mid and high ranges are vibrant and clean. The bass range is not huge, which is common with earbuds, but there is plenty to provide full sound. Phone calls sound really clear, and the microphone quality is great.

Customizable controls, which can be set in the app, allow each user to set controls to their liking. Tap controls will feel familiar. One tap to play or pause, two taps to move forward a track, and three to move back. The app allows these controls to be set on either ear and adds the option to double-tap to toggle the noise cancelation. This feature is actually convenient.

I have been looking for a pair of these to use on my walk that I take everyday with my dogs.

I keep putting off buying a good pair of ear buds. Mainly, I’m worried that I’ll pay too much for something I don’t like. These look good and aren’t crazy expensive. They go on the short list.
