Moment prides itself on being a resource for all things photography, which extends to their Travelwear line. It’s a line of backpacks, totes, and organizers that are designed to keep your photography equipment organized on the go. We’ve had the opportunity to check out the Moment MTW Battery Organizer, and we’re deeply impressed!

Moment MTW Battery Organizer

The Moment MTW Battery Organizer is a soft-sided carrying case that unzips flat. The outside is black with a very small M-TW logo stitched in one corner but with no pockets or other features. The inside is a light gray, which I really like. We’ve tested organizers and cases before where the insides are dark, and it drives me nuts since it just makes it harder to find small items.

One side has two pockets, one layered over the other and with zippers on each side. On the other side, there are 4 small elastic pockets perfect for memory cards with two larger pockets underneath, and in the center, there’s a cylindrical holder for a pencil or stylus. It’s also a really compact design, just slightly smaller than a hardcover book.

There are a few features that show Moment took the time to really be thoughtful with the design. The two overlapping pockets have red and green zipper pulls, and by color-coding, you can have a full batteries/dead batteries division and know based on the zipper color which is which.

The two larger pockets on the opposite side have a little corner seam sewn into them, giving them a little extra depth. And the SD card-sized slots are elastic to allow for different size cards or other storage. The stitching is even and impressive, and the whole package feels quite rugged. It’s about as protective and tough as you can get with a non-padded or hard case.

I don’t generally carry a ton of photography equipment, but I did want to test how much the Moment bag could hold. So I stuffed it with the sort of random things I might need regularly. I put a flashlight in one overlapping pocket and a phone in the other, then on the other side, I stuck a mouse and a Funko Pop Chidi (admittedly, there’s not really a GOOD reason to carry around Funko Chidi, but there’s also not really a BAD reason either.)

In any case, the torture test proved that the battery organizer could hold a lot more than just batteries. It swallowed up the various bulky items without an issue and even zipped up just fine. The only real issue that I found with the bag is that it picks up lint and dust quickly because it is black.
