Whether it be headphones, wireless speakers, home audio, or portable audio, there’s something for everyone. Mark Levinson No. 5909 Wireless Over-Ear Headphones

Mark Levinson No.5909 Over-Ear Headphones

Years ago, Judie and I spent some time with Harman, where we had the opportunity to hear a $35,000 Mark Levinson home audio system. It was truly the best-sounding audio system I’ve ever heard. If that system is any indication, the new Mark Levinson No. 5909 wireless over-ear headphones promise to deliver some of the best sound ever.

The No. 5909 comes in Pearl Black, Ice Pewter, and Radiant Red; they feature expertly turned to the Harman Curve 40mm Beryllium-coated drivers designed by the same sound engineers behind Mark Levinson’s renowned amplifiers, turntables, and streaming players.

The headphones come feature-packed with Bluetooth 5.1 technology with LDAC, AAC, and aptX, a four-microphone array with Smart Wind Adaption, Adaptive Active Noise Cancellation with three modes for premium sound isolation, and Ambient Aware for situational awareness in one’s surroundings.

On top of great sound, the Mark Levinson No. 5909 was crafted with luxury and comfort in mind. The headphones are made with core aluminum components, a premium leather headband, and replaceable leather ear cushions to ensure they last for many years. The headphone package includes a hard-shell carrying case that also holds the included cables and an airplane adaptor.

The $999 Mark Levinson No. 5909 is the brand’s first portable offering. With the adaptive noise cancelation turned on, you can expect up to 30 hours of playback time from these headphones or 34 hours of non-ANC playback time.

Judie and Zek looked forward to hearing them at CES this year, but unfortunately, they won’t have the opportunity to see them in person. Thanks, Covid. 🙁

Still, we can safely assume they are impressive; the Mark Levinson No. 5909 wireless headphones will be available at select retailers starting today.
