As of the writing of this post, a big chunk of the United States is encountering a massive heat wave. It’s rough, and you know who hates heat almost as much as you do? Your smartphone. Just like computers need cooling, so do phones, and they don’t have the benefit of fans or a large amount of space for venting. Infinix says they’ve found a way to dissipate more heat more efficiently with their new 3D Vapor Cloud Chamber Liquid Cooling Technology.

Infinix gets into really technical detail on the press release, but the upshot of it is that they’ve worked hard to make sure phones can stay cooler for longer without creating excess bulk.

They point out that 5G, gaming, and generally increased computing power expectations mean more heat is building up inside our devices. But no one wants to make their phone thicker, even if they want it to remain somewhere below “sear off your fingerprints” hot.

That’s where the new 3D Vapor Cloud Chamber Liquid Cooling comes in, and it’s an industry first. 3D Vapor Cloud Chamber Liquid Cooling wicks away hot air, strips out the water, and then redeploys that moisture into cooling the device.

By creating a 3D cooling layer, it’s more efficient and able to keep up with the phone’s cooling needs with significantly less risk of the system becoming overwhelmed. As a result, you get a smoother experience and no stuttering, dropped frames, or heat-related freezes.

3D Vapor Cloud Chamber Liquid Cooling is new technology; we’ll see it roll into future Infinix phones, so as they get faster and more powerful, they’ll still stay cool and efficient!
